WOMEN ON THE MOON
In 2019 it will be 50 years since Neil Armstrong said "That's one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind.” as he put his foot onto the moon’s surface. Within this time, women have gotten closer to the moon but still haven’t put their ‘heel’ onto its surface. Women on the moon is an artistic investigation into what it means to sit in between different stages of equality and raises the question if putting ‘her’ footprint onto dusty surface is a step towards or away from planetary thinking in a post-Human era.
ON 6th SEPTEMBER 2019 Women on the moon has launched at the KCCC in Klaipeda Lithuania.
This exhibition has been co-curated by Laima Kreivytė and Denise Ackerl
